Holiday searching - flight times

Hello there,  I'm trying to find a holiday, had to cancel my long awaited trip this summer as came down with covid. Fairly open as to location but for once want a package and mainly want decent flight times.  Is there any way of searching so as to get day time flights only?   For instance I fancy Sicily, Jet2 fly there but it's a night time flight back. Can't find another operator from Man/LBA/Liverpool, move on to o Greek islands, flights back 2am....etc etc.

You don't give dates, but EJ fly Manchester to Catania during the day. 
You are looking at charter flights only, so they're bound to be off-peak.
Expand that to include scheduled services and you'll find far more options.

It depends on your definition of decent.  It's quite subjective, some people may prefer the later UK departures (meaning a middle of the night flight home) because it means they can do a days work on the departure date.

In the summer the package operators need their aircraft operating 2 or even 3 return flights a day, hence why a lot of flights are leaving the UK late afternoon or early evening meaning the late returns.  It is quite often longer flights like Canaries/Greece/Turkey scheduled into this slot, but not exclusively so.

I know Jet2 and TUI allow you to look at alternative flights during their booking process so you can see if any other airports/dates are better.  Could also try looking at the comparison sites like Skyscanner or Kayak as they allow you to sort and filter by flight time.  They show TUI and Jet2, then you'd be able to go there are look for your package.

EDIT: Having a quick search, easyJet flight to Catania from Manchester on Sundays and Wednesdays with day time flights and offer apckages via easyJet Holidays.  TUI also sell holidays using the easyJet flight.

@peb are you aware that most package companies T&Cs state that they can change the flight times (by up to12 hours )without giving you the option to cancel the package and get a refund ? 

As flight time is an important consideration for you , you need to check the T&Cs of the company before you book and their policy on changing flight times .

For example TUI’s T&Cs state 
“ Flight times given are for guidance only – your actual times will be shown on your e-ticket……

Occasionally, we may have to make a major change to your holiday such as :….a change in flight time by more than 12 hours or a change of UK departure airport. A change in flight time that we need to make within 24 hours before you are due to fly is not a major change unless the time changes by more than 24 hours.”

Thanks guys.  I hadn't thought of easyJet, I'm not impressed with their ever changing rules on luggage but I completely forgot they did holidays, I'll have a look.  I often build my own but fancy the certainty of a package.

And yes, I am aware that flight times can and do change.  But if I start with a decent time - fingers crossed.

Everything I looked at seemed to land after midnight .  I can't do that.  I'm dire after ten pm !

Except easyJet don't do October.  I had looked and forgot!

Google Flights is a good tool to find what you're looking for. You can separately set acceptable times for arrival and departure and maximum price. Type 'Europe' instead of putting in a destination (I use the tool for finding £20 bargains, but don't really care what time I fly etc).

When you have the flights you want, an appropriate package can be booked from that subject to budget etc.
