That is better, just check that the points you make in the unnumbered paragraph following #3 are not already in the template defence, we don't want unnecessary duplication.  All paragraphs must be numbered.

I see no point in waiting to email it!  Make sure you get an immediate auto acknowledgement email.

Email it only on a weekday M-F during business hours, working on the basis that 4pm is the cut-off time each day. There are, apparently, delivery issues with Gmail and Hotmail.  Your auto-reply email will confirm receipt (check spam folder as some replies end up there), no auto reply strongly suggests non-receipt. Don't fall asleep on it.

I sent defence this morning via hotmail and in first email did not get reply but when sent again after 15 min got the acknowledgment immediately. thanks guys for guiding in the process

Very good!

Remember that defence is not your only job, so you do need to read the 12 first steps in the Template Defence first post so you don't have to come back and ask us about the fully expected solicitor's letter and the standard DQ N180.

Then pick up re-reading the 2nd post of the NEWBIES thread,  which tells you everything to expect, and how to do it.

You won't get anything until the claimant has received your defence from the CCBC and had up to 28 days to decide whether or not they still wish to proceed. You don't know on what date the CCBC forwarded the defence to them, so you won't know when that deadline expires. Sit tight, you'll hear soon enough.

No it can take weeks and in some cases months
