Hi
i have an area in my garden that has a bit of slope, and is made of pebbles. I would like to resurface it with slabs.
can I apply the slabs directly op top of the pebbles with glue?
thanks

Better to lay a proper sub base and bed the slabs on mortar.
What type of glue were you thinking of using?1 -

You certainly won't find any effective glue to hold the slabs in place. Cement would work for a little while, but you'd have to redo the whole area again next spring.Do it properly (dig out the pebbles & soil, put in a compacted sub-base, and lay slabs on a full mortar bed), and you can sit back and enjoy the space for the next 25-50 years.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Thanks. No idea about the glue, I’m totally new on this so I’m gathering info atm.
it will be an area of 8mx2m
How much do you reckon it would cost if I ask a professional to do it properly?
thanks0 -
Cost varies a bit.depending on what area you live in, access to the job, type of slabs etc.
A rough guesstimate would be around £1,500.
