DBC Legal / UKPC Limited County Court Business Centre

Hello guys,

I've received the above letter from DBC Legal from a PCN dated back to 08.06.17 (from Curzon Street, Birmingham)... I've had a few threatening DBC letters over the past year or so for the same PCN but have ignored so far but this one seems a little more 'serious'. Could I please request some guidance as ive never had a letter from the County Court Business Centre before?

When I got the PCN originally in 2017, I appealed as I was in a company car and from memory my ticket blew off the dash and I sent them a photo of the ticket as proof but they weren't having any of it... I continued to ignore the threats until they stopped.. for 5 years lol.

I appreciate any help from you guys.

What have you got, a N1 Claim form?

What is the Claim issue date?

Have you done the AOS (see NEWBIES thread, don't do it too soon).

You've read the NEBWIES thread second post about how to defend a case?

You should not have ignored the Letter before Claim.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You say that you have received something from DCB Legal but then say you have received something from the County Court Business Centre.

Have you perhaps received a County Court Claim Form from The County Court Business Centre?

If so, please tell us the Issue Date on it.

What is the date of the alleged parking event?

With a Claim Issue Date of 3rd August, you have until Monday 22nd August to file an Acknowledgment of Service but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.
To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.

Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Monday 5th September 2022 to file your Defence.
That's over four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service instructions.
Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.

    Hello Coupon-mad..

    yes N1SDT claim form.

    Have not done AOS yet.

I have re-read your post regarding defending the case... So my first action is to send a SAR?

DON'T do AoS before 9th August

BBC WatchDog “if you are struggling with an unfair parking charge do get in touch”

Please email your PCN story to watchdog@bbc.co.uk they want to hear about it.
Please then tell us here that you have done so.

There is certainly no harm in filing an AoS after 9th August (not September!!), but there is no good reason to delay that filing at all.

If you were to go through the motions of filing an AoS now, it will not be recorded until Monday anyway.
