I need a straight line and a 90* compression fitting for the waste pipe in the kitchen.
Would this:
https://www.screwfix.com/p/mcalpine-t28m-straight-connector-white-40mm-x-40mm/71314
Fit this pipe:
https://plasticsuppliesdirect.co.uk/polypipe-40mm-solvent-weld-waste-pipe-white-3-metre.html?SID=23a2d95b3d06a8e5a7864bf7364dea12
It has an outside diameter of 43mm, but the retailers and the manufacturer label it as 40mm
Solvent 40mm pipe = 43mm
Push fit 40mm pipe = 41mm
I want to use a compression fitting for ease of use and dismantling. Are all "40mm" compression fittings suitable for 43mm pipe?

40mm is the inside diameter, the outside dia. depends on manufacturer and thickness of the wall.
Most push fit fit other makes but keep your receipt just in case.
I think Mcalpine made pipes that only their fittings fitted.0
