    Thank you, I certainly noted your earlier comment. However, you may have missed my recent posts saying the remote is currently working perfectly (and has been for several days) so no remedial action of any kind is required at present.

    It's forecast 29 degrees later this week so I suggest you get a new one. There will be a fine crack on the circuit board, the buttons are laid out in a matrix formation so any number may be affected. Remotes have a hard life due to constant handling, dropping and general miss-use. Keep the old one for winter if you must.
