Shell Energy :Beware: easy to switch to more expensive variable before fixed term ends
My variable contract with with Shell Energy ends at the end of the month.
I received an email last week to remind me to that it was time to choose a (more expensive) variable tariff. "Fair enough" , I thought , but when I chose a new tariff on their website there was only an option to switch immediately and no "Switch later" button was available. If I had proceeded i would have lost 3 or 4 weeks on the cheaper tariff.
I don't know if this was deliberate on their part ,but it doesn't look good. i now plan to wait until the last week of August before signing up for the new tariff.

The SVT will always be available. I understand you wanted to switch to the SVT, but this is not necessary at all, if you do nothing you will go onto it when your fix ends.1
