Morning all, I've been out early for my shopping and now home nursing a much needed 2nd cup of coffee after putting the fresh and frozen foods away. I met a friend I hadn't seen for ages in the sm and had a lovely chat. I spent a bit more than I'd bargained for but Mr Fix It wanted to try some of that new orange cider and some very expensive coffee 🙄. (I shall have to take it out of his allowance 😁) I also bought a sympathy card which I shall put in the post later, I was going to make one but had nothing suitable only birthday, Easter or Xmas.
I had a video of DGD of when she was horse riding this week and she was on the biggest horse in the stables 😲. She rode like a pro and even cantered on him, I was so impressed with her confidence which has come on in leaps and bounds.
Today I shall be pottering about as I completed all the downstairs cleaning yesterday. I will need to check my blackberry bush to see if there are more to pick and freeze. That bush has paid for itself over and over and it only cost me £1.50 in a cheapie shop years ago.
taff sorry I wondered why you were asking when I was sure you knew the answer anyway 😂 I got the wrong end of the stick and confused as usual. Mine are big and blousey like yours, a present from Mr Fix It who knows nothing about gardening and would prefer concrete !
TA enjoy the concert and take plenty of tissues !
Sorry I have forgotten who else said what now, so I'll love you and leave you for today.
Take care all, hugs to the poorly ones, the MIA's and anyone in need.

Morning
Quick catch up mostly to get away from all the stuff with the solicitor she demanded this morning. Not a happy bunny but I'm getting there she must have asked for address about 10 times in in different formats. Think it's me that is earning her ridiculous salary. Want to get most done today so I can ignore her over the weekend. Mums home is holding an Abba tribute day tomorrow so as I have been somewhat neglectful this last week or so I will get myself down there'd join in a bit. Nothing to wear of course but Im sure they will have some wigs!
Lots more admin to do this afternoon. I have really neglected my house cleaning wise ...you would all be ashamed! Hopefully it slows down a bit after this lot.
Have a lovely day if you can all10 -
Hi everyone,
We got back from Wales in the early hours. It used to be great driving distances at night but it has become a nightmare because so many stretches of road seem to be closed for works now. Steve decided to ignore the Satnav which was a big mistake because stretches of the m25 and A1 were closed. Anyway, today will be a day of rest because I am shattered. I shall do some gentle hand sewing on the binding of Crystal's baby quilt.
Talking of her, she saw the consultant on Wednesday and they tried to turn baby but couldn't so she will have a section but they couldn't get a date because the hospital is fully booked so they have to wait for an opening. Laura is plodding along, although being quite sicky with this one. I told her it's because it's a girl, I was sick every day for 9 months with her (sometimes multiple times a day).
I'm glad it's cooled down a bit here although the lawn is parched from lack of rain. We have had lots of water main bursts around here lately, We had vritually no water for 2 days before we went away and while we were away I was notified that there was another one for several hours.
TA, happy abuellaing tonight and happy birthday to DGD tomorrow.
Mehefin, I hope your injuries heal quickly, the accident sounded horrific.

@newroadahead OH and his friends have Talisman playing days, they have all the extra board add ons and games can take hours and hours. I have played a few times but honestly, don't remember what the cards do, what you collect, etc etc. It's very confusing to me
