My British Gas DD cancelled on its own?
I was wondering why my August Direct debit wasn't taken for British Gas Duel Fuel, so logged in to my account to see it says I now pay by cheque or cash? I haven't cancelled or done anything myself.
I have tried to set up a new DD. First step is to submit a meter reading, this cant be done because it says I have a smart meter. Which I do but its not very smart because it doesn't send any readings to BG.
Any suggestions on what to do?

Only just logged in today and the lines are shut at the moment but i guess i was wondering if this is a common issue and or will i loose any discount by not paying by DD?
