Hi all,
I took out a budgeting loan a few months ago and have been paying it back in weekly installments since.
Is it possible to check how much of the amount borrowed I still have to pay off? is it a case of ringing the DWP?...or is there a way to check myself?
Thanks

The only official way to check is to phone up Social Fund. However you can work out how much you still owe if you know when the repayments started and how much you are paying back each week. You should have received a letter (from ESA, JSA or IS) when the repayments were about to start with this information.

If you applied online and gave a mobile number, they would have text you when the loan was agreed. You can then work out how many weeks it been. They usually start taking money from your benefits quite soon after having the loan.
