Scottish Widows App

Ah, I was told I'd see my Scottish Widows Pension Contributions though the Halifax banking system. Well for at least the next 11 months.0

I've just tried registering on the SW app. It tells me my pension is not supported by the app, contradicting what the email notification told me.
So do I assume I will have no electronic access at all in future?
I will have to call them to find out I guess, especially the confusion around having a old workplace pension which, according to the website, IS supported by online access. Sigh0 -

Well for at least the next 11 months. If you just want to check the value or check the total amount paid in then for some pension types that will still work. I think! Even SW Customer Service don’t seem to know what is happening & didn’t know that CS Online was closing until they started receiving calls.1

Login page now updated to say:
Important
We’re making changes to the ways you can access your Scottish Widows Personal Pension online.
You’ll be able to access your policy online from 23 August 2022, or you can call us in the meantime.
I was going to download any relevant information today (prior to the original cut-off of 13/8) but access is no longer available.

I just went to the log in for 'Retirement Account' and it showed me my Stakeholder pension details (I don't have a 'Retirement Account') - but you can't make any changes as they're doing maintenance until Tuesday evening 16/8/22.So you might be able to do that too if you have a Stakeholder pension or a Personal pension, Granta.1

I would never have thought to use that route, like you, not having a Retirement account.
The person I spoked with at SW today was unashamedly honest in saying they know nothing about what is going on and why suddenly they may be giving us online access, and how bad that was ' "join the club"0 -
Mine have now disappeared from my Halifax and Lloyds online (web not app) banking - anyone know if this is permanent?I think....0

I downloaded the app on Saturday & accessed my (old) workplace pension- today it states ‘sorry, our app does not support your pension’ 😬
Helpfully, it says ‘if you have any questions please contact us’ but does not give any contact details 😣1 -
Just discovered that I also can't log into my SW workplace pension via the usual, albeit convoluted "Personal Pension" plan route of their antiquated web site, and unlike others have received no prior warning of this complete removal of account access!
As I regularly check as to whether the monthly contributions actually show up in my account - given that at least twice before despite having made contributions they've not shown up against the account!
So I'm too stuck between neither having "CS" web site access nor mobile phone access ("sorry, our app does not support your pension").
What absolute shower!!!
NOT HAPPY Scottish Widows!!
