Where can I find prices of shares on particular historic dates?

I would like to find the prices of certain shares on some particular dates. I've tried Yahoo but can't make much sense of it. Some dates in December 2020 and March 2021 are of interest.

Any investment platform analytical sites will tell you that, you just need to scroll browse it to any particular period you are interested in.
    This is the easiest one
    Yahoo Finance
    Google Finance
I wonder why you said Yahoo Finance does not make sense as they simply report the historical value. History is fact that has happened in the past, so nothing to do with sense.
What might confuse people sometimes is that they do not take into consideration that a stock might experience a split, reverse split, etc. the good recent example of stock split is Amazon, Tesla, Alphabet.

Such data isn't typically difficult to find, but are you perhaps referring to something other than listed shares on major exchanges?

I've just had a look and (using Shell as an example) found all the information I needed at Shell PLC (SHEL) - Historic Prices | Shares Magazine.

TradingView is another good website for this task.

Which companies? Where you will face problems is if they've been delisted.
