Pending CCJ for Private Parking Incoming

In Dec 2021, I recevied a Parking Charge Notice from MET Parking Services Ltd for overstaying at a McDonalds. I was there for 73 minutes, not the allowed 60. It is my local McDonalds and I have been going there for many years. I spoke to one of them managers at the restaurant who said to bring him the ticket and he would 'sort it out'
Nothing happened and it was passed onto Debt Recovery Plus, with increased costs to £170.00
I have just received a letter from CST Law saying they have been instructed by Debt Recovery Plus as the agent of MET Parking services. They quote a case of Beavis v Parking Eye (2015) and a pending CCJ will be issued if not paid within 28 days.
I have read a lot on the forum, but it relates mainly to getting CCJs set aside, rather than pending CCJ's. Any advice on what I should do at this stage would be welcome.

First thing is push McDonalds again that they agreed to cancel this. Make the point again that you are a regular customer, but that will change if every visit comes with a £100 surcharge.
Read the newbies and learn the process and be ready if McDs do not help.
Ignore drivel from debt collectors. They simply want to bully you into paying. You CAN NOT get a CCJ until it has been to court, AND you lose AND you fail to pay thenThe pen is mightier than the sword ..... and I have many pens.3 -
So the McD manager said he would sort it out, but in the next sentence you tell us...fr33zy said:I spoke to one of them managers at the restaurant who said to bring him the ticket and he would 'sort it out'
You say "Nothing happened". Why didn't you show the McD manager the ticket?fr33zy said:Nothing happened...1 -

You say "Nothing happened". Why didn't you show the McD manager the ticket?fr33zy said:Nothing happened...Why do you assume I didn't show him the ticket? Nothing happened in terms of the ticket being voided as he said would be the case - so now more time has passed, I need advice how to get this ticket vioded without paying it or getting a CCJ.0 -
Because you said "nothing happened" immediately after stating that the McD manager asked to see the ticket.fr33zy said:KeithP said:

There is no indication that you showed the McD manager the ticket.0 -
This is because there is no such thing as a pending CCJ so if you searched for threads about 'CCJs' then you are looking at the wrong thing. You are nowhere near a CCJ.fr33zy said:In Dec 2021, I recevied a Parking Charge Notice from MET Parking Services Ltd for overstaying at a McDonalds.I have read a lot on the forum, but it relates mainly to getting CCJs set aside, rather than pending CCJ's.
You are at pre-action stage and that's followed by a court claim, not a CCJ. Pre-action, LBC and court claim stage (your stage) is very thoroughly covered in the 2nd post of the NEWBIES thread.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
