I have a BIG problem with communications like this.
The "if you do nothing" column is only valid for another 8 weeks. They know this. They should show a "best estimate" cost instead.
Being generous, this is misleading. And I would actually argue that it is DELIBERATELY misleading.

You are right saying that. People believe that SVT is cheaper without often realising this is only the case until the next price increase.I have a BIG problem with communications like this.

Only positive is that at the moment it is correct that the SVT will be cheaper in most cases.0 -
But they don't know what the rates will be until they are announced, and I don't believe they are allowed to "guess" at the rates, but yes, they could quite clearly state that the price is variable and could change in line with the energy price cap and you could pay more for your energy later, oh wait...What_time_is_it said:I have a BIG problem with communications like this.

I remember a few month ago people were outraged when the suppliers put the SVTs not big enough in their renewal emails and the fixed tariffs were to prominent.
Now there is the same outrage because they are putting the SVT details into the emails...

In fairness the way that has happened has favoured the supplier each time. Coincidentally.0
