EON broken electric meter

have been waiting since May to get an appointment to fix/replace meter as it is not showing readings  - since then I have estimated electricity bills even though I have cut down my usage 
- I had an appointment booked for 2nd August but eon cancelled it without telling me, I called and they said they couldnt fix a
smart meter in my house - so now I am waiting for an engineers appoiintment - and waiting and waiting - 
I have used the whatsapp service but am going round and round in circles worrying about this.  All I want is my elec meter fixed so I can have accurate bills!

I take it the meter has gone "blank screen ".
As a former meter reader for 20 years I had dozens of long term customers happy to have a blank screen and accept estimated readings based on historical usage . 

Usually the meter was the small white Ampy type meter which had a reputation for going blank screen .

 I would not worry, nor would I cut down my usage..quite the opposite like my happy customers used to tell me

thanks for replies - hot tubs back on - annoying thing was i was cutting back elec usage - so am
not bothering now - 🤣
