Barclays Smart Investor - declined

Hi all, 

do you know Barclays declined my application for Smart Investor? I don't have Barclays bank account as I wanted ISA from them. 
I have a good credit history with 0 missed payments, addresses are all updated.
In the previous financial year, Lloyds opened ISA for me with 0 problems.

It's not something that has appeared on any of my news feeds, so it's as much of a surprise to me as it is to you!

But you can't necessarily read too much into it - it's just a commercial choice by them, and it may be something as simple as that they have had as many applications as their admin team can cope with and they are choosing not to take new customers that don't already have one of their other products? You can try asking them why they declined, but they don't have to tell you.
