Which will of course lead to a PCC because you didn't actually buy a ticket - double hit.

I hate parking apps and refuse to use them, partly because I object to having to pay an addition fee to use it. They also rely upon mobile phone signal strength - too unreliable.
And yet the local council use mobile phone payment for some locations and not others.  I got to one place and the only option was to pay cash at a machine.  And of course while I had a phone I didn't have cash.  There were numerous phone apps plastered on the side of the machine - no idea if they were legit or not but I didn't succumb.  But having 2 systems in place does make it easy for someone to do something dodgy.

I don't use any apps because they just connect to an internet portal, a web site ?

It is easy to make an app which are no different to saving a link in your browser
OK, it's a quick link but that's all

In the great parking scam they are a god send to scammers

If a car park only offers an app to pay, get the hell out and go somewhare else
