Playing cards in bars in Italy

Beware of playing cards in Italy. And by cards, I mean anything, from Uno and Rat-a-tat-Cat to snap. It is associated with public gambling (illegal) and they are all are frowned upon in bars and public places. You may be asked to leave even though you are just entertaining your children.
