I'm selling my late oarents' house and didn't get the £150 rebate because it's unoccupied.  Does anyone know if I'll be eligible for the £400 rebate due soon?  I'm still paying energy bills. Thank you.

  • the rebate will be applied to the bill holders account. Depending on the supplier, each one will handle how this down in a different way based on previous posters - either credit to the account, reduction in DD or credit to the bank.

It'll be paid to the named account holder in 6 instalments so you will only get the deduction until the house sale

I'm guessing you are not paying the council tax on the property? That'll be why you didn't get the £150 rebate.
If you are still paying the electric bill then you should get the payment, but it'll be spread over 6 months.

It should nicely cover the standing charges and any minimal use (heating on very low overnight when it gets colder to stop empty house getting damp)
