Recommendation for Laser Printer Scanner

Hi
I am looking for a compact Laser Printer with Scanner function.
Home use.Mono.
We print max 1-2 pages per month, but always find that our inkjet catridges are clogged and end up cleaning the head or even replacing the cartridges. And this proving to be time consuming and costly.
Most of the laser printers with scanner appears to be bulky.
So any advice on small model?

    Buy separate devices.

Seconded. A dual purpose machine will be a compromise.
I have a Brother HL2250DN attached to my home network which I find to be more than adequate for any printing. Also have an Epson V500 for the very rare occasion that I need to scan anything.

Her courage will change the world.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

Why not a cheap all in one HP inkjet and use their cheapest HP Instant ink monthly (99p) plan.

Yes, £1 isn't much, for 2 pages it's 50p/page. Waste of money and of clogged cartridges.

How much do you think buying a laser printer and separate scanner is going to cost in comparison. Plus, I've never had any issues with clogged cartridges with my HP.

If you want to boil it down to the cheapest cost for the OP's usage then they may as well just use their local library for their printing/scanning needs.

That's possibly because you print more than 2 pages per month.
That said, I don't even remember the last time I used my scanner. In most cases you can use your mobile phone or, indeed, go to the local library if you really need a scanner.

The OP has though. And they aren't the only one.  They also said they only want to print in mono.

A laser would be a sensible choice in that position. Particularly as many modern inkjets (looking at you HP) will refuse to print anything unless they have a full set of working cartridges, all cleaned and tested every time you switch the printer on.

I've spent hundreds of thousands (of other people's money) on HP printing equipment over the years.  I now wouldn't even consider one for my personal use.  They aren't now what they used to be, which is a real shame.

I also doubt the 99p ink deal will last much longer.

We bought a Samsung M2675FN, as we needed a fax function and an ADF. I cannot fault it for the £100 it cost us.

If you are going to be scanning more than the very occasional page, an ADF is tremendously useful.

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

My advice, keep your existing dried up inkjet printer and scan to memory card, email, or whatever this printer supports. purchase a small format mono laser printer and away you go! (have the same setup at home)

I've got an Epson EcoTank (you fill up the inks separately) and it's been brilliant.
