in your watering can?

Working in garage, nature starts to prod, can't be bottomed to go in to use the loo, so glanced at the watering can sitting there. Hmm...
For a start, isn't wee-wee full of nitrogen? Ammonia? Summat like that? Ie - fertilizer? And then there's the unescapable issue that to flush away ~200-300ml? of micturate requires at least 6 litres of fresh, processed, drinking water. What a literal waste!
Soooo, can I go ahead and pee in my tank? And will my trees and shrubs thank me for it (watering can topped up with butt water, of course).
And you know what I mean by 'butt'. Tsk.

Yes you can fill your can.
My OH 'waters' the compost bins instead of coming back inside.

My dad used to pee on the compost heap, and I do the same when nature calls...supposed to be an activator (of decomposition) but no idea whether there is any truth in that...1

If you buy lawn improver it's uric acid as granule in a fancy package at a price.
Thanks to advice from a forumite on here (can't add a link on this gadget) i went from a weedy moss encrusted lawn to immaculate sward to the envy of my neighbours using the natural stuff.
I have refined it to - moss killer use neat or 2/3 to 1/3 water.
For grass the opposite.
It doesn't affect daisies so they will still look pretty. It's safe for wildlife.
The disadvantage is that the grass is so lush and dense that it's harder to mow.
If you use it on shrubs they are likely to grow lanky soft growth but diluted and occasionally should aid foliage, use with care.
Same with veg.
Old books suggest the compost heap is the best place to 'water'. Coffee grounds too.
Soot in soloution can give nitrogen, dilute.
You may want to water when the neighbours aren't around. There is a lelltale odour for an hour or so.
As an extra, banana skins planted round roses increases flowering. I'd guess fruit bushes and trees also. So thats snack time sorted.
Wood ash contains potassium also for the flowers on fruit especially. So burning garden waste perfect.

Thanks all.Fascinating stuff, 2'penny - cheers. I'd be talking one 'dose' per full watering can - so no OD issues.Must dash...0

Definitely. Best used as a compost activator early in the summer. Massively increases speed of decomposition.
CAT produced acceptable compost from cardboard and pee.
There was a recent article about reducing the current fertiliser crisis by utilising liquid human activator.
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing3 -
RAS said:CAT produced acceptable compost from cardboard and pee.My cat produces nothing acceptable, but I produce a fox deterrent and spray it around liberally every morning when I let the hens out. I'm not sure about the effect on the grass, but in a hen run the state of the sward is of modest concern!0

Dog poo on the compost is a good activator.
I'm thinking cat poo maybe the same.
Perhaps that would be a plus to the neighbours cat pooing in my garden.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Where we used to live there was the hugest, most healthiest fuchsia outside about 5 feet from the the kitchen door. I had bark chips under it and our 3 cats thought it was the most perfect litter spot particularly on very wet rainy nights. Easy access, bark under foot, big umbrella above to keep the rain mostly off. Turn around time in and out of the cat flap was remarkable.
