Hi I've just been contacted about free solar panels .
Wondered if any one has dealt with evergen solar ?
I've read the reviews doesn't look promising .
I was looking into panels a while ago but funds wouldn't allow .
With the increase in electric it's definitely something I would be interested in , as I'll be staying in the property indefinitely
Maybe 40+ years if I get lucky enough to live that long .
Does anyone have anyone they can recommend and system if this supplier doesn't work out .
Many thanks

Wondered if any one has dealt with evergen solar ?Who exactly contacted you?To the best of my knowledge, the only way currently to get free solar panels is via the ECO scheme which is for low-income households with poor-energy-efficiency homes. Does this describe you?N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. Ripple Kirk Hill Coop member.Ofgem cap table, Ofgem cap explainer. I am on low income .
I wouldnt state poor-energy-efficiency though .
As we had a new combi boiler and wall/loft insulation
I will look into that company to see if I'm a candidate
Many thanks0 -
Poor efficiency is defined by the EPC, anything with D or worse, I think. You would probably be better off going to your council website and working your way through the links to the company they recommend just to make sure it is not a scam. Low income is defined as total household income under 30k. You will need a south(ish) facing roof to qualify for solar, as well. I have applied myself as my EPC is E, though two huge bay windows with pre-fensa glazing facing directly north is the main heat escape route.
