Tempur mattresses - price change between retailers

Hi

I am looking for a mattress and it took my eye the big difference of price between different retailers.

For example, the model  Sensation Luxe, Firm Tension, King Size is £2499 in john lewis (https://www.johnlewis.com/tempur-sensation-luxe-memory-foam-mattress-firm-tension-king-size/p3247906), £2699 in dreams (https://www.dreams.co.uk/tempur-cooltouch----sensation-luxe-mattress/p/161-00088-configurable) and £3359 in Tempur (which i thought was going to be cheaper!) (https://uk.tempur.com/mattresses/sensation-collection-UKSENSM.html)

As far as i know all of the mattresses in the links are the same model, so, how can the price be so different?

It's the law that they can't fix prices. Tempur hope that people will think they are the cheapest, or only, source and not look elsewhere. If, like you, they do look elsewhere Tempur have still sold a mattress so they are still happy.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.
  • Tempur products are superb quality and worth every single penny, in my experience.

I tried several different brands of those shaped, memory foam pillow before i bit the bullet and bought Tempur's.
From John Lewis, Dunelm, and Argos - this went on for about 6 years because after roughly 2 years the others lost their original firm shape and started to soften in the centre.
The Tempur one is still as good as new and it's now 20 years old.

Spending on cheap products is not money saving and you're likely to have to buy the mattress again if it's not as well made as Tempur.

Yeah, no doubt about that. The question is about buying it in tempur directly or through a retailer as John Lewis, as it is cheaper apparently
