If you used that logic all farmers would be vegetarian  :)

Pumpkin pie (google for recipe) or pumpkin soup - fry off some onions, celery, garlic, tip in the puree. I'd also add peanut butter - I'm a big fan of squash soup with peanut butter.

I use canned pumpkin in vegan baking, it's used as a substitute for oil and/or eggs.

I mix pork and beef mince for meatballs. I add some cooked couscous instead of breadcrumbs for bulk plus an egg and some herbs. You could use the marjoram plus salt and pepper plus maybe something hot like paprika.

I'd batch cook a load of meatballs. I bake mine then open freeze. With some pasta, sauce of choice and Parmesan they make a tasty, easy meal which is fairly economical.

Can anyone give me some ideas for fillings for calzone.  I got a pack of ready rolled pizza base reduced to pennies - but am not that keen on actual pizza!  Could I do something like the filling for samosas (we like spicy) or would that not work?  Thanks in advance.

I have seen pizza dough used to make bao buns, so I'm sure you could do anything you like with it. It is after all just bread.
Some ideas from me would be cinnamon buns, eccles cakes, apple charlotte's.
Definitely could cut them into quarters and fill with spice and make samosas shapes.
You could cut into smaller circles and line muffin tins, top with beans and cheese and bake. Or top with chilli and cheese and bake.
You could make something like cheese twists, or garlic bread.
Roll them with, ham, cheese, olives etc, then slice into rounds and bake as pin wheels.

Are there two? Could you make a filling and put one on top, serve as dippers with a salsa.
    Hope that's a good start.
