Hi all,
Our fixed rate comes to an end 1st Sept. We currently pay £100 per month and are always in credit (currently over £300 in credit). We have been quoted £139 for a variable tariff and £232 for 12 month fixed. In the last 12 months we used 2647kwh electricity and 9256kwh gas - making our annual bill for the last year £911. Under the rates we have been offered we would pay £1,668 for variable and £2785 for fixed. Obviously the variable rate will go up, so is it worth fixing?
Thanks so much

That fixed is a 75% increase if my calls are correct which seems high unless I'm missing something.
If October brings a 78% increase then you're better off on a variable until then.
