FFP2 Masks DIY vs Pharmacy

Apart from the rip off price difference - is there any difference in these 2 face masks? Flying to Italy who require masks which comply to FFP2 standards - but only once you actually land in Italy! And only on the bus from the airport to the hotel.

    They both meet the spec

The Screwfix prices seems so low compared to everyone else (not just boots) that its probably an error, so get in quick before they notice.

It's a pack of 5, not 15, for 99p, which is about a factor of 10 out compared to the market price.

    its 89p for a pack of 5 but buy 3 & get

ETA - totally misread the offer. its 5 for 89p (which IMO is a decimal point error) with a buy 1 get 3 for just a bit extra - which I suspect is a stock clearance/loss leader offer, but exacerbated by their pricing error

I've just ordered three packs from Screwfix - they're on special offer, so 15 for 99p.....

Thanks for the question. Boots is one of my preferred suppliers for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) so I can recommend that item to you. Medisave is a company that supported my family brilliantly throughout the Pandemic and they have a huge range of PPE. If you stick to these two suppliers you can be confident that you have the right equipment to protect you and your family. Best Wishes.

Boots is a rip off. Having bought these from Screwfix, I can confirm they are CE marked FFP2 standard, in a sealed bag - that's all that's required to comply with current Italian specifications. Are they any good a lady asked buying the same thing. Yes, we're just inundated with the things as nobody wants them anymore. Why pay 30x when you don't need to. And of course it's probable even my £1 has been wasted as the rules could change again.
