Hello again, it's a wet start here, not cold though.I haven't heard anything from Ds about going anywhere today, it's early yet though. The ideas we had for places to go were weather dependent, but we could do the station market in Tynemouth, it's undercover in the old railway station,, then go for something to eatWe went to Lidl yesterday and I did quite a big shop, so shouldn't need anything apart from bread, milk and a few veg over the next week .I tidied and cleaned one of my big kitchen cupboards out yesterday afternoon, I'll do the rest during the week. Not much else to report really - hope everyone has as good a day as they can.Take care folks.12

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Here we go again - Boring Boring - yet another mizzly start but it's forecast to take up mid morning. I think even the cows on the farm on the top road are fed up of the rain, they have been bellowing loudly every morning all week! Something is upsetting them.
Surprisingly, despite the forecast, yesterday turned into a nice fine day once the drizzly stuff had moved elsewhere. I enjoyed my bus ride along the valley bottom and the little town didn't disappoint. I was surprised to find Wilko still open as I had read it was closing early spring. A lady told me she had heard it's now November. I picked up a few little bargains in there including seeds reduced to 5p or 10p a packet. Still in date until 2025. I now regret not buying more! In Home B they were selling Napolina cherry tomatoes 2 tins for £1. Bargain, as well over £1 for one tin in the sm and I am quite partial to them for topping hm pizza. So I had quite a bargainous day out!
Grounded today but I have the excitement of a Tesco delivery this afternoon. I hope it's not a re-run of t'other week when it was delayed until 9.00 pm!! It's quite a big order for a change as I decided to use some of my Clubcard vouchers to do a bit of a stock up of store cupboard stuff before the prices shoot up even more! I wonder what will be subbed or oos this time!
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and fed up. NRA happy retirement and RUBY have a wonderful holiday, After the rotten couple of years you have had you deserve it. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning folks. For a happy change it's a glorious start to the day, fingers crossed it stays. Yesterday was a strange day. In the morning I was so lethargic, even turned back from going up to Oban yet in the afternoon I perked up enormously, as did the weather. The remainder of books were removed from the spare room and are now in my car. Once the postie had been I jumped into my car and went to Oban 😀 collected my order and drove straight back home. After that I got stuck in my armchair watching the swimming from the Commonwealth Games, two sessions ending at 10pm. Such great events and wonderful results. I even teared up when Duncan Scott was presented with his gold medal and the entire Scottish team, plus assorted others, belted out our national anthem really loudly. 🎉This morning I'm meeting the lovely Camelot for breakfast at Loch Fyne Oyster bar, always a treat on both counts. There's so many of us going on holiday soon, I've lost track. Mine is not until three weeks. If you're going off today I hope you have a fab time.Happy Sunday to all. And 🤞for the Lionesses too. ⚽️11

Morning all, we had rain in the night and the patio is still wet but the sun is shining now. The forecast is for thunder storms throughout today though.
I got lots of packing done yesterday and it's all ready to go to the van this week, now there's only the clothes to do now. I cleaned the kitchen worktops down and the top of the cooker which had been a bit neglected last week. I emptied and sorted the chest freezer and made a list so I know what meals we can have for this coming week. It is looking sadly depleted so I'll defrost it later in the week and then refill it after hols.
Today Dad is coming over for the day and I'll cook roast pork, roasties, veg ( whatever is left in the freezer ) with gravy. I'll cook some sausage rolls for tea and there's some pate to finish up so we'll have crackers /toast with it. Some frozen doughnuts found in the freezer will do for pud.
Ruby have a lovely holiday.
Gers enjoy your breakfast with Camelot.
Take care all, hugs to the poorly ones, MIA's and anyone needing a cwtch.

Morning all, cloudy atm but at least it's stopped raining & looks like it might brighten up. No real plans for today but DH wants a new book so may go to the retail park this morning. We had a lovely curry from a local restaurant last night, and enough left for tomorrow for the 3 of us so not too bad. Tonights meal is the meal deal from Mr T but the dessert was out of stock so may have to pick something up (TA I had lots of subs & oos too)Gers and Camelot , how lovely that you're meeting up,enjoy your breakfast.
