Does anyone have suggestions for dvd copying freeware for Windows 7. The only ones I can find are time limited or restrict the number of copies you can make. I'm not copying commercial dvds so no need to evade any restrictions. I'm only wanting to copy a number of home dvds which are getting a bit old.

Well I don't know what you were looking at but there's a list of free ones here, first result in Google:Top hits will probably be CDBurnerXP (it will do DVDs and works on XP and later, never mind what the name says) and Imgburn.1

To rip the DVD to an MKV file so you can store on any other format eg hard disk then I recommend MakeMKV:

I use BDlot - it has limited functions but fine for straight copies - it creates an ISO which can be burned to DVD using Windows in built burning function
