They are almost as big as M&S's Colin!!
I can remember finding one as a kid. Mum let me keep it in a big jar (she ran a sweet shop at the time) and I gave him fresh privet every day until he made his cocoon. We kept the jar in the shed over winter. In spring we took the lid off the jar and lay it on it's side under the hedge and one morning he had hatched and gone.Barnsley, South Yorkshire
