I am trying to see if carpet from bedroom at old property which is still in excellent condition will fit new properties bedroom or living room I think it may be too small but a little confused on how to measure.

I got I think 12.5 feet width and 9 and a half feet length (or is that reverse)

Worse comes to worse I can use the carpet for kitchen at new place but as on another thread new property is uncarpeted and I have to move in 2 weeks at maximum

Carpet in a kitchen? Dont think iv'e ever seen that before.

Measure the longest wall, if it's under 14 feet then that part fits.

Then mesure the other wall id that is under 9 and a half feet then the carpet fits.

14 feet by 9 feet is a pretty small room though so dont get your hopes up.

Updated its 12.5 not 15 I went wall to wall not carpet to wall.

I did take photos but I guess I have to make a forum link.

I have seen carpet in kitchens before but not very common, I could get laminate but its frowned upon in social housing.

With it being dark carpet I wouldn't worry about leaks from washing machine or sink.

My current house had carpet tiles in the kitchen, absolutely horrendous. Kitchens need a surface that won't stain with spills, which will happen.

What size is the room the carpet is currently in, and what are the dimensions of the room you want to put it in?  Is the current room a simple rectangle or does it have a chimney breast or bay window?  If it's a simple rectangle, and the current measurements in both directions are greater than the dimensions of the new room, it will fit.  If either measurement is smaller than the new room it won't.
