Charter Savings Bank - new account not showing.

I had an old Charter Savings Easy Access Iss 21 account that was no longer paying a competitive interest rate, so today I closed it and opened a new Easy Access Iss 26 paying 1.54%.
I received a message telling me the account was open and giving me the new account number.
However when I log on to the website, the new account does not show up.
Is that a delay in the system or is it because I have not yet made the initial deposit from my linked account?

When I tried to send a secure message via the website, the system logged me out and displayed this message:-
Site error
We are very sorry an unexpected error has occurred.
Please make a note of the following reference if you wish to contact us.
I am not impressed!

So then I looked up the contact telephone number on their website. It says this:-Due to the popularity of our products on offer, we’re experiencing extremely high call volumes and you could be waiting over 30 minutes to speak with one of our team. When I tried to call, a recorded message said 'All lines are temporarily busy' and the call was dropped. The money from my closed Iss 21 account has not appeared in my linked bank account.I think I will take my future business elsewhere.0

Like SJMALBA said, my new account showed up within minutes today.
One slightly odd thing to note about transferring money from older, less attractive, CSB EA accounts to the new account. Because these EA accounts have a minimum initial deposit of £5000, but you can then withdraw amounts and let it fall below £5000 (and get a lower interest rate), you can't transfer in ... say a balance of £1.83 from the older account (and close it) to the newer one as the initial deposit. You have to fund the new account with £5000 first, than you can transfer the £1.83 in and close the older account. Not a big problem, just something to be aware of .... as I found out today1
