Manhole three is covered by the skip. Manhole 3 is covered by roof tiles.stuart45 said:You probably do have a combined system. Easy to tell if you open up one of the manhole covers and put some water into the gutters.
Lifted manhole 2. Kitchen tap waste goes through one section of the Y join that is visible.
Tried pouring water down the back downpipe to see if water would come through. No movement of water. Poured a bucket load of water down. Might not be enough to see the movement that far away? But, would have thought it would've been enough!
It could be that the small drain is the furthest this system goes... and the downpipe at the back of the house goes into a soakaway? Hope not... as those things are sh*t.

A bucket of water should be enough to show, unless it beat you to the manhole. Could be it goes to a soakaway. If so it's not so important to have a good seal to prevent sewer gasses leaking out.0
