Got parking Fine from premier park demanding information (Already sent one size fits all template)

Hi There,
I got a premier park parking ticket last month.
Ive read the forums and most of them didn't come back after the 'One size Fits all template' and i sent mines. However, they have come back and said

We write to acknowledge receipt of your recent online appeal, on behalf of the driver, appealing against the issuing of a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) to the vehicle.

We note your comments and must refer you to the Protection of Freedoms Act (PoFA) 2012, Schedule 4 - Recovery of unpaid Parking Charges. This is available to view online at:

<A legislation gov uk link>

We now therefore request that the details of the driver of the vehicle at the time of the contravention are supplied; this must include their full name and serviceable postal address.  If you are unwilling or unable to provide these details the registered keeper of this vehicle will remain liable for this PCN.  This information should be provided by 4th August 2022.  Please note, Premier Park Limited will not reply to any correspondence until after the above date, if the requested information is not provided.

If we do not receive this information by the above date, the appeal will be formally responded to and we will hold you liable as the Registered Keeper of the vehicle on the date of the contravention.

Please note if we receive correspondence from the driver at the time of the incident we will not respond to you further on this matter.

They haven't asked for money just want the driver details. Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks

Don't tell them, they're not entitled to know. Ignore their request. But, if their Notice to Keeper complies with the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (Schedule 4), it is somewhat academic, as they can, in the absence of the driver's details, still hold the registered keeper liable.

They can ask. You're allowed to ignore that.

In the meantime during this lull, complain to the retailer/landowner and get the thing cancelled easily.

Will go there on the weekend and speak to the Manager :)
  • Okay so update
i went to Sainsburys , I asked to talk to the manager and explained the situation and they said they can’t do nothing about it as they don’t control the car parks.

Any advice on what I can do next is greatly appreciated.

I’ve only appealed with the template thus far and their reply is on the first post.

    thanks

If the manager said they don't control the car park then I would be asking who does.

Generally if it's a supermarket with a parking lot (rather than a mall with numerous shops) it will be down to the supermarket to decide what rules it's wants for parking.  1 hour?  3 hours?  Just enough to stop local company employees to not be able to park there for their 8 hour shift?

If the manager refuses to engage then I would ask for his/her immediate superior's name as well as the contact details to complain to Sainsburys.

Sainsburys don't contract with Premier Park.  But the managing agents for the retail park do. Complain to them.

  • The annoying bit is the car park was pay and display.
it changed overnight , we went shopping and there was no mother and child bays (we have a 1 year old ) so we need the space to open the car door. We hung around for 10 mins and non became available so we drove to Aldi instead. This is how the parking ticket came across . It’s so cheeky and causes unnecessary stress.

Yeah it’s in a Sainsburys but kind of had other shops around. They said there is a parking office ticket but it’s only open Monday to Friday so I’ll be going to speak to them tomorrow afternoon to challenge this .
    will update then :)

Tell this to the retail park managing agents in your complaint on Monday:

Keep your Aldi receipt and - if the retail park agents refuse to cancel it - say the same thing to POPLA, along with all the other issues for POPLA appeals (see NEWBIES thread) and the Aldi receipt as proof that you left straight away, gained no utility from this site and shopped elsewhere instead.

  • Perfect!
I don’t think I still have the receipt but I definitely have the card transaction on my Monzo.
    Hopefully they see sense tomorrow.
    Thanks,
    :)
  • Update:
Spoke to Premier Park officials at the shopping centre.
    They cancelled the ticket :)
Thank you so much for all your help!!!
