Chase - Pseudo Joint Account

Guys, my wife and I are getting a bit fed up of logging our shared espenses on something like Splitwize etc so have decided we need a joint account for everyday spending - mostly shopping and sfuff.
The 1% cashback of Chase is appealing - bills in Tesco, Waitrose etc really do add up. But, Chase don't do a joint account.
As I already have one, our plan was:
* Wife opens one
* We both pay x into it per month
* She has the app on her phone, and could use Google Pay on her phone when on the shops physically
* I have the physical card to use in the shops
* Online purchases on say Amazon etc could be done with her accounts as it's in her name
Does anyone see any flaws in this process? We have a Starling account as a 'proper' joint account for say energy/water/Council tax, so we're only doing this chase one for the 1% cashback really, not the interest.
Thoughts much appreciated!

If you use your wife's debit card you will, almost certainly, be breaching the account's terms and conditions.
Which is a big flaw if Chase become aware.0 -
How they would actually know whether is me or her tapping in Waitrose or not is something to ponder... But yeah, point taken.0

You could also get a Curve card and link the Chase card to it.
That way you would also have two physical cards - one Chase and one Curve.
Yes, also use Google Pay or whatever for a third method. You could both have Google Pay on your phones and put the Chase card on both.0 -
Curve card, that's a new one to me, I'll look at it. Cheers. I'm cool with Google pay, but I suspect my wife might find it a bit of a pain!0

Chase's fraud systems will love the account holder using virtual card alongside the physical in vastly different locations.
They could also both get a CIFAS marker courtesy of either Chase OR Curve.

In reality both of us using the payment method at the same time will be very rare, but worth knowing about.
Tbh for the 1-200 quid cashback I'm not sure it's worth the hassle0 -

The GooglePay idea has been discussed on here some time ago. I can't remember what they concluded. You should find it if you search the Forum
For a perfectly legal cashback solution: RBS and Natwest have a Reward credit card which pays 1% cashback on all supermarket purchases (not supermarket petrol though). Only 0.25% on other purchases, sadly, but unlikely to cease cashback altogether after 12 months. It's easy to get a second credit card card for a second account holder.

Cheers, thats an interesting one, it would certainly cover a lot of our spending. We don't use much petrol as we have a hybrid so that's no great loss. We could always have individual chase accounts for the bigger non supermarket purchases, which are less common, and get it thay way.
I thought there was a fee for the NW sfuff, I'll look into it, cheers0
