Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot but cloudy air feels much fresher and more comfortable. Wash load in WM.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was fish, veg, rice/chips - not sure about tonight - will sort something later.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's cloudy and starting to rain here, yesterday wasn't a bad day it stayed sunny most of the day.I spent the afternoon ironing, there was quite a bit because there was washing from our holiday, but it was mainly t-shirts and other lightweight stuff so I soon cleared it.We thought we might go to Bea*ish Museum today, they are creating a 50's area, and we wanted to see if it was finished yet. If the weather fairs up we'll go, it's not far for us.Hope everyone has a good day - take care folks13

Morning folks.Scarlet - a 50s area at Beamish sounds perfect and intriguing too. I hope that you enjoy the visit.Yesterday turned into a mixed weather day, mostly bright and sunny with the occasional dark clouds. I drove up the west side of Loch Awe to visit the Hollow Mountain. The visitor centre was really busy, they do tours every 30 minutes so there's a rhythmic flow of people coming and going. As I arrived a large group of scouts were just leaving. Anyway, I couldn't get on a tour so settled for a bowl of lentil soup followed by a piece of cake. Soup was tasty, cake not so much.More meandering ('specially for Taff) on the way home. I called into a clematis nursery and bought one to climb up my very old but poorly rose. Then I found garage selling petrol at £1.71 a litre so filled up. A wee coffee at the tiny wee but very busy cafe rounded my jaunt off well.Just as I was leaving I got a text from the chap up the hill so say that he'd been out early foraging for chanterelles and did I want some? I was up that hill like a shot to get some. 😀 They're going to accompany my lambs liver today. This morning my gardener is coming to plant out the clematis and then clear some weeds. I've got an order to collect later so will do a little light shopping when there.I hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Thursday to all.13

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Unlike the previous few nights I had a lovely long sleep last night and didn't open my eyes until 7.00 a.m. This only happens once in a blue moon sadly!
Unlike yesterday when we had a day of sunshine the mizzle is back with us today. We had a lovely day out in Skipton yesterday, browsing the stalls and cs, followed by a nice lunch and a drink outside in the sunshine. No gallivanting today unfortunately, just a bit of cleaning to do today. Will tackle the kitchen and bathroom to ease the burden of the Friday Tidy tomorrow!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies or just fed up. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Morning All
Lovely warm morning here, still overcast but has the promise of a good day. I'll do a wash load once everyone has been in the shower, should dry quickly.
Brunch yesterday was ok, nice little cafe but not much to choose from on the menu. Good to try somewhere new but I don't think I'll go back. It was good to travel on the subway, haven't been on it for years. We walked into town so DS2's DP could look at shoes for an up-coming wedding, she struck lucky and got a pair in TK Maxx, first shop we went into!
Re-potted a Fatsia plant that had got too big for it's pot at the front, it's now in the pot of the deceased Acer (quite a few Acers around here have died this year), hoping it does well in it's new home.
Hope you're feeling better again Ruby.
Good price for fuel Gers, I must get some today.
Hugs to those in need.
Take care. XX11 -
Morning all,
No post from me yesterday as nothing of interest to report - oh unless you'd be interested that I bought a single tin of baked beans from Ts for 80p - yes you read that right - 80p. Granted they were Bran$tons but even so! I have my blood test this afternoon, then a week to wait for the results.
Hope you're feeling better Ruby xx
Have a good day all,
Coxy

Morning all, it's overcast here and I'm feeling the cold this morning yet outside it's warmer than yesterday morning.
Yesterday DGD had a good riding lesson as only 2 turned up, normally there are 6, so they had all the attention and did a lot of cantering. Today it's pick up day for my guests ( no idea what time as DD didn't get in till midnight last night ) but DGS did request that he had a cooked breakfast before he went home ! We'll miss them as they are both great company and no trouble. Teddy rabbit on the other hand was a right tearaway 😁 DGD is already up and eating her breakfast but DGS is still asleep
Later I think it will be a feet up and resting day, well after I've sorted out the fridge to see what's left in there. There's not much but I'm sure I'll find something to feed myself and Mr Fix IT as my kitchen will be firmly closed and not re-opening for the rest of the day after the DGC go home ! We'll have to get back on the diet wagon too as it left without us this week 🤨
Take care all, hugs to the poorly ones, the MIA's and anyone in need.

Morning everyone
Had a nice few hours with little one after nursery yesterday - we sat on the rug in the sun and played games. I bought her a new one - from the charity shop for just £1.50 last week - and she loves it. Before she went home she helped me water the plants - then I had a lovely hour reading in the sun.
This morning I'm going to get my eyes tested - a procedure I really dislike as it takes so long! My left eye is a bit fuzzy - the doctor thinks it's probably yet another symptom of Long Covid. Then I'm getting my hair cut - to be honest not my favourite activity either but it looks terrible! I'll have time for a nice hot chocolate in between.
I need to get some euros and some bits in Home Bargains.
Then it will be a nice lazy afternoon - hopefully the sun will come out.
Gers - the area you live in sounds beautiful
Scarlet Ribbons - you've reminded me that I haven't been to Beamish for years - there's always something new to see
Just noticed the time - better go I need to get dressed!
Have a good day everyone x

Morning all; bright and cheery here this morning.
We're off on holiday to Devon after lunch and have been trying to eat up the rest of the fresh food before we go. The last two eggs are out in the kitchen to remind DH to eat them when he appears for breakfast.
I slightly boobed as we decided to break our journey overnight in Wiltshire but then realised I was having my hair cut at 10.30am so we can't leave until lunchtime. Just so long as we get past Stonehenge, which is always a slow moving queue of traffic.
Other than that I'll wish you all a good day. It will be radio silence from me for about 10 days now10
