    It had not crossed my mind that they would analyse all of my transactions, with all of my other banks and compile a dossier on me, and then use this information for marketing purposes.

    Even if they did, it would not concern me.

    You, and probably millions of others. Which is why banks and CRAs etc are investing heavily in getting you to use Open Banking. It's much, much cheaper than any other methods of acquiring customer data, and the quality of the data is very high.

    Don't take this the wrong way, but you aren't any more representative of millions of people than I am. We're all only small cogs in the massive money making machine, and they are bound to find plenty of people who will be 'willing' customers.
