Solar in my opinion is the better option, we was only looking at £1200 2000kWh, our annual usage 3900 kWh before the solar panels and Solax battery, we use 1300 kWh charging our PHEV off peak on Octopus Go, leaving 2600 kWh for our domestic usage, but as you know this has drastically changed.
Glad you are pleased with your set up plus you now have the Solax 10 warranty12 x 370 Watt J A panels Solis 3.6 invertor. Solax AC invertor and 5.8 triple battery0 -
After HIES involvement I have full documentation (schematic drawing, electric certificates etc)including the installers 10 year parts and labour warranty.
Plus of course HIES 10 year warranty.12 x 370 Watt J A panels Solis 3.6 invertor. Solax AC invertor and 5.8 triple battery0 -

I am able to use mine without batteries when it sunny from Feb through Nov for limited heating with an oil filled radiator to supplement CH and get a tank of hot water 300 plus days a year with a diverter.
That's helpful information thank you.
According to Google maps the house/roof is NE / SW.
this was the online quote. the face to face quote was about 11k but was a local guy that was recommended.
solar system size 2.76 kw
battery size 3.30 kw
inclination 35 from horizon and 25 from south
Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. Anne Lamott
It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?
Please consider buying some pet food and giving it to your local food bank collection or animal charity. Animals aren't to blame for the cost of living crisis.0 -

My system of 14 x 370W = 5.18kWh and a 5.8kWh battery cost me £9642.51 installed.
That was the price back in May, so will have gone up now, but your quote seems on the expensive side.0 -
