Headless Screw Removal Internal Door

Not sure if these can be answered..
1. Is it possible to remove internal door handle headless screw -too tight for pliers.
2. Is there any simple method to detach the handle from door which seems very firm to lift off.

This happened when I had successfully used electric screwdriver to remove 7 of 8 screws, one didn't make it.

thanks

I think a better explanation and a better picture is needed.
If you removed all other screws, what's on the right side and what does that screw hold?

Two ways around it. You can dig it out by drilling around it then fill the hole with some odd bits of wood and glue that you can screw the new screw into. Or you can just leave it, the lock won't fall off because one screw is missing. Glue the broken off head back on so it looks nice. :#
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

So is it the actual screw you want to remove, and its head has snapped off?  You can buy special screw-extractors, but very often - if you're careful - you can get away with just drilling it out using an ordinary HSS drill bit.  Start with a very small drill bit then gradually work up to larger diameters until you've drilled the whole thing out.
Once all the screws are out then the handle plate should just come away.  Sometimes if it's been on a long time, it can get slightly "embedded" into the paint.  If that's the case, a very gentle tap with a hammer or a gentle lever with a screwdriver should be enough to free it.  It should only need the gentlest of persuasion, be careful not to mark the handle or the door itself.

If all the other screws have been removed they should be able to remove the handle and plate.  That may expose more of the remaining part of the screw and mole grips may then be able to get a good enough hold to unscrew the remains.

    thanks mser's appreciated.
This is from inside handle, opposite side screws were removed with ease.
I have used various types of crown gloss, due to running out.
e.g. low/mid sheen hence handles very firm each door side.
From door entry handle 4 screws removed, I'll use todays advice and try tapping with fixed screwdriver or similar as it didn't budge by hand.
Though I did see one headless extractor online, it needed a wood template and pilot hole drilled, which ide rather avoid.

    thanks
