can you say exactly how you paid and if credit card which type I.e. MasterCard, visa or Amex? (There is a difference).

What might be a better calculation is, if you can, find out what the price of 2 year old iPad is - that is the value.

amex is better than most with better customer service and a shorter appeals timescale.
there is some help on debit cards but your well part the time limit

why dont u check a local computer specialist for repair,apple are always over the top.0

Did you purchase direct from Apple? One year retail warranty only. Next time, buy from JL and that will be a 2 year warranty.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Thanks all for your help. The retailer has agreed to refund £260 which seems very reasonable with 2 years fair use deducted.
