Hi all thanks again for all your kind comments. So we picked them up at 3.30 and they were fine although a bit groggy. The 7 year old had 11 extractions as well which we weren't expecting (told 1 or 2) so hope the rescue place who said they would cover his dental will be ok with that! They've both got Loxicom and the 7 year old has pills that are like codeine as well for his mouth. They must be very loved as their life long veggie mum (me) roasted them a chicken and they have loved having shredded chicken to snack on.
The surgery suits have been brilliant , they are happy wearing them, we didn't even bother with the doughnuts round their necks so recommend these to anyone preparing for similar surgery.
Thanks again x4 -

I'm sure the rescue will cover the dental work because, realistically, until the vet could have a thorough look at the dog's mouth, it would surely only be an estimate of what work would be needed. Additionally, the general anaesthetic and surgical staff would have been needed for neutering and one extraction so hopefully the cost of additional extractions won't be too much more.
Good luck to you and your family. I wish you many happy years together. X1 -
