Best savings account with quick access

I have approximately £14000 to deposit in a savings account, it won't be added to. Can anyone advise on a good account with 30 days access

    You could investigate Zopa

If you want an account from which you need to give 30 days notice to make a withdrawal, then the best option is currently Zopa @ 1.65% (actually 31 days notice) but, with reports of Virgin's M Plus Saver increasing to 1.71% this morning, you could do slightly better there and that would be instant access - you'd need to open a current account with them to get that, though.

Note that there's a BoE meeting on Thursday next week, where a further interest rate rise is expected.

Open a Virgin Money M Plus current account and get 2% on £1000. If you have a current account donor account with 2 direct debits you can earn a switch bonus of 20,000 Virgin Points. It has a linked M Plus Saver account now paying 1.71% on up to £25,000. It is instant access.

    As above Virgin money
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

    Nationwide 5.00% + £125 switch = £1,500
    Virgin CA 2.00% = £1,000
    Virgin M Saver 1.71% = £11,500

    Total interest over 12 months = £417 / 3%

    Nationwide 5.00% + £125 switch = £1,500
    Virgin CA 2.00% = £1,000
    Virgin M Saver 1.71% = £11,500

    Total interest over 12 months = £417 / 3%
    Total interest = £292 / 2.08%
    Total return, including (non-taxable) switching bonus = £417 / 3%

If you're going to include switching bonuses, then it would obviously be possible to increase earnings significantly further by taking advantage of multiple offers, although in each case (including Nationwide) this is subject to conditions and credit status....

Virgin Money is the best at the moment for Easy Access - 1.71% on the linked savings a/c to the M+ Current a/c up to £25k and the Current a/c pays 2.02% up to £1k balance.
