Combining no claims bonus

Hi,

Does anyone know if it's possible to combine NCB earned on 2 vehicles onto one vehicle should I decide to get rid of one of the vehicles?

No. You can only use one NCB per vehicle.

Technically there aren't set industry rules and so in theory a company could allow it however in practice never come across anyone that does.

How do you mean combine? You can't take two policies with 2 years NCD each and then make one with 4 years NCD if that was what you were thinking.

Outside of that there is little point in combining them, you have to pick one and use that. As most of the information will be the same on both (no of claims, convictions, address etc) it will make no difference.

Ideally you would look to end up with the car you are keeping on the policy with the highest NCD, but getting there may not be the most cost effective if you have to shift a car when that policy renews and then cancel the other policy.
