Water drain pipe at ground level…can i connect something on it to divert water?

Good afternoon
i have a drainpipe where the end part is very close to the hole where the water goes down. 

I would like to collect rainwater for plants etc , but dont want to fix a diverter half way up the drain as its heavy metal material. 

Is there some tubing or something i can attach to the end of the down pipe and across the patio into some water storage device.
i need something that is a bit like a hosepipe with a bigger end which will fit on the end of the pipe…if there is such a thing?

Not cheap and getting the water out of the drain gulley might be awkward, as it would surely have to go uphill to clear the edge?

For size, I'd guess at 100mm unperforated, but check the diameter of the downpipe.

I think there are a couple of problems with tis, one as @Woolsery mentioned is that the water would have to go uphill at some point and also that if the collecting container got full it would start to overflow wherever it was, the diverters bypass if the collection vessel is full

A diverted is the only way to go otherwise you somehow have to overcome gravity. If you want to preserve the aesthetics of the metal construction you can get steel ones.

Thanks both. D’oh , what a twit! I didnt factor the part where the water would need to travel uphill!!!
