No idea of correct section to ask this rather embarrassing/ stupid question
I currently pay £79 for Amazon Prime & £8.99 for Amazon music. Are these different services?
I ask as I am unsure whether Amazon Prime subscription includes Amazon music and therefore paying duplicate for same service

I believe that Prime gives you a large selection of mulsic, but there is another music tier for which one pays extra.

I looked on Amazon and being asked for the additional £8.99 after the 30 day trial period the same as you are so looks like different services.0

That is my understanding so may be not cracking up just yetGrenage said:I believe that Prime gives you a large selection of mulsic, but there is another music tier for which one pays extra.

Yep, this exactly. We have the ordinary Prime membership, and this gives us (i.e. the kids!) pretty much all the music they want. But occasionally Alexa will say "This track isn't available, but you can get it on Music Unlimited" (or words to that effect). I think it tends to be new stuff that you have to pay extra for - if like us you listen to mostly old stuff then ordinary Prime is perfectly sufficient.Grenage said:I believe that Prime gives you a large selection of mulsic, but there is another music tier for which one pays extra.

Yes, completely different services. The Amazon Music subscription is not included in your Prime sub. Also, be aware the cost of Primes is going up to £8.99 per month or £95 annually.seikothrill said:No idea of correct section to ask this rather embarrassing/ stupid question

Prime gives you some music but if you really want the unlimited music it's its own service0

If you do want the extra music access, you can also pay for that annually - was £79 when I got it earlier this year.
The extra is not all new music, it just tends to be more premium stuff or sometimes the music included with Prime becomes unavailable as it moves to the extra music, and vice versa. I got the extra music as I was sick of my playlists missing songs when I'm driving in the car.0
