Carole Nash Car Insurance

I have been getting quotes for car insurance renewal.
All the results so far for the cheapest come up with a company called Carole Nash, which I`ve never heard of.
Googling it, it seems to have mainly provided cover for motor bikes and classic cars.
Anyone like to comment or have had any experience regarding Carole Nash.

They're a broker and as you say much better known for bikes and to a lesser degree classic cars.
I would be surprised if you deal with them in the event of a claim and so it comes down to who they are placing the business with too.1 -
Didn`t realise it was a broker but all the comparison sites are coming up with them as the cheapest for me.
I`m trying to find who the underwriters are.
Same old story these days, someone takes your money them fobs you off to whoever, when there`s a problem.0 -
If you go to their homepage it states:2010 said:Didn`t realise it was a broker but all the comparison sites are coming up with them as the cheapest for me.

At Carole Nash, we’re proud to be one of the UK’s leading motorbike and classic car insurance brokers, so you’ll always have complete peace of mind.
A broker isnt fobbing you off by the claims being handled by the insurer... that's how things are normally done. The broker is a sales agent, and a non-advisory one at that, the company taking on the risk of claims is the insurer. Some brokers have delegated authority from the insurer to handle some claims but to be honest that just adds more complexity and delays when they have to go back to the U/W for sign off or because it may be exceeding their authority etc.1 -
Thanks for that.
