My son stuck velcro round the window (one part of it)and the other half to some insect netting, cut to the dimensions of the window.  It works very nicely at keeping wasps out, so should work with your beetles.

Saw magnetic fly screens- for doors- in Aldi this morning for £5. Might be worth a buy.

That sounds like a good idea. Never thought of it so will try it. 

To Katiehound:
Several years ago, I tried using magnetic strips on the window, with the bug netting. The magnetism wasn't strong enough, and they kept falling off.


I had to do the post this way, as my quote won't work. My replies kept going in the grey box of the quote.
