Text message regarding Cost of living payment date

Hello
i was told on my UC journal that I would receive a text message confirming a payment date for my COL payment. I’ve copied exactly what I was told below “ You will receive a message notifying you of your payment date. Regards. Clare”
did anyone else get a text message for their payment date? Or did it just randomly go in? I’m just a little confused as I wasn’t aware of receiving text message for a particular date. I’m aware it can take until the 31st but I just don’t understand what she means by text message. If you received a text message do you get an upcoming date when it will be paid or do you just receive a message to say the payment has now been sent to you?
of course, I’m going to allow until the 31st though regardless of a text message, it’s just that I haven’t heard of anyone receiving a text message regarding their payment date as someone from UC told me.

My daughter claims UC and she didn't have a text message to say payment is going in. Payments are not made by UC/DWP, they are done by the Government so UC would have no idea when the payment will be made.

I receive Esa And got a text message To say I would be receiving the payment But wasn't given a Date1

I claim ESA and didn't receive any text. I received my payment on 14th July.

I get UC and had a text a few weeks before I got my payment, which was just a generic "you do not need to do anything to claim CoL payment".2
-
I claim UC and the payment simply went into my account, no messages of any kind.1

It's not paid as UC, but UC service centres are making some of the payments. Some have sent messages and some haven't.
As normal it's a bit of a mess.

I had a text last year for the tax credits £500 payment. They can only text if they have your mobile number recorded.Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023
Make £2024 in 2024...1 -

Thanks everyone for posting your experiences. As @calcotti said, they don’t know what they’re talking about from the looks of it! Certainly won’t be hanging around waiting for this “text message confirm payment date”. It’s just about waiting and being patient in the meantime. Again, I appreciate all the responses. It’s certainly helped me clarity this text message thing0

I didn’t receive a text message, but I did get an email from UC which stated “This month's Universal Credit statement includes information about government cost of living support. Sign into your online account to read it.”
Looked at my statement and it really was info about the COL support. But no indication whether I’m eligible or payment will be made.If I am eligible (which I should be) I have received payment yet, guess it will reach anytime between now and the 31st.0
