Hey all seems a super busy thread so far, that’s good to see!So job wise I applied last night to work for Euro Car Parts they rang me earlier and I’m going to speak with them tomorrow after work as I need to collect a part anyway. They said it’s contract of 25 hours as they don’t offer full time anymore but he did say that there’s over time available. So I’m going to sit down with him and have a chat tomorrow to see if it’s guaranteed etc. I’m actually really interested in cars and car parts so it’s ideal!
fingers crossed for me!

Today I have/will:- Check banks

- Message person on V*nted who made an offer on a dress - don't think I'm going to accept though (it's been "favourited a few times so holding out for the asking price)
- Message company re refund - the parcel has been "in transit" back to them for nearly two weeks now! Within 15mins had the refund so that's been shuffled off! Been paid for leaflets so that's been shuffled off too!
- Update spreadsheet

- Snap receipts
- Look at budget for August
- Dinner from stores
- Crochet in front of the TV (currently working on the next birthday present!)

Morning allOH I think has covid
though he is currently testing negative, However, lots of people I know have reported testing negative for the first few days, and the symptoms are there, so it seems sensible to take precautions to avoid passing it on if possible. Not sure where he could have got it from, as he rarely socialises indoors. I have moved to the spare bedroom and am using the small second bathroom for the duration. Must disinfect surfaces later, though my feeling is that it is airborne and that surfaces are pretty low risk tbh. I am fairly resigned to getting it, though I have had an extra jab due to being (allegedly) clinically extremely vulnerable. I will do some batch cooking today, so that we have food prepped just in case I don't feel up to cooking over the next few days. We don't really do ready meals or takeaways etc. I am fine currently, though have cancelled work for this week as I don't want to be unwittingly passing it around. I realise I am lucky to be able to do this!
So far I have taken the dog out and tackled the kitchen, which is pretty poor given it is gone 10.30! My excuse is I didn't sleep much in the spare bed - but I will do the following:Disinfect surfacesWater garden pots etc that need itBatch cooking - I will make a large chilli (already have an aubergine curry that I made last night)Walk the dog againDo some houseworkI save water too @ziggy2407 It isn't tight, it is avoiding waste and helping the environmentHope everyone has a good day3 -

Morning allNot a great night's sleep, and I have only walked and fed the dog, had breakfast and emptied the dishwasher so far. OH not up yet, he is coughing and I don't think he had a very good nightToday I intend to:Make the chilli I didn't get round to yesterdayCheck banks and update my spends book, as I don't think everything is in there. Must also pay the milk bill. Some houseworkSoup from freezer for lunchWater anything that needs it in the garden, and pick any produce that is ready. I found enough late strawberries yesterday for a small bowl of strawberries and cream each for dessert for OH and ICook a small roast for dinner. It is our wedding anniversary (a big one) and we are confined to home as OH has covid
I don't suppose we would have done much anyway - I was supposed to be at work for a start
However, we are lucky to have escaped it till now to be honest.
