Travel insurance with pre-existing cinditions

Buying travel insurance and declaring my pre existing conditions. Do I have the option to exclude my preexisting conditions by not paying the additional, premiums? I will declare the, but do not want to pay high premium as am stable. I know it is a risk I am taking. Thanks

I've been able to do so in the past when dealing with them over the phone.

The key issue I want to raise is related to selecting the best medical specialist travel insurer. We have recently had a bad experience with a highly rated medical specialist travel insurer. Whilst they are on the recommended MSE list for best insurer, most of the good recommendations appear to come from clients who have never had to make a claim. As an example AllClear have over 80% 5 star rating. Being promised something and getting it when necessary are two different things. Such companies never mention the Claims Handling companies which the insurance companies refer you to when you need to make a claim. In the case given, Reactive Claims is their claims handler, but here the Trust Pilot ratings show 74% 1 star, with the general comment being “don’t touch this company with a barge pole” (ie they find any means necessary to avoid paying out). Their previous claims handling company had an 85% 1 star rating. So the key point to note here is, don’t just believe the insurance brokers wonderful offers, always ask first who they use for claims handling to get the real picture.
