Just show them the 7% option and say can you do 10%, and ask to throw in the guardsman. Its cheeky but they get a big cut of that sale and if youre spending £6k a lot of that is profit, they won't want you to walk out and worst case you can walk out and just order it online
We plan to go to an actual shop on Saturday to buy the sofa.. but in the mean time I've been online chatting with the actual website and pointed out that i can get 7% off using a cashback site..
After a bit of too and froing they have sent me a quote that includes a 7% discount. Only £370 so far, but its better than nothing!
This, for me is a great starting point for when we go to the showroom. Hopefully there, they can do better, especially on the last day of sales!--- Hitting the thanks button as often as is needed ---0 -
Little update. Tried to get a discount in store.
We only got offered free sofa leg coasters and some cushions.. hmm. rubbish!
In the end, bought online and haggled a fair bit and we got just over 10% off. Saved ourselves £500!
Nice little win! Thanks for the good advice!
